Can You Become a Scientist Through Self-Education?

  • Thread starter Brett Nortje

In summary, the journey of a self-taught scientist involves a passionate pursuit of knowledge and experimentation without the formal training or education typically associated with the field. These individuals often rely on their own curiosity and resourcefulness to develop their skills and contribute to the scientific community. While their path may be challenging, self-taught scientists offer a unique perspective and demonstrate the power of determination and self-motivation in the pursuit of understanding the world around us.

Hello, hey, and how do you do?

I have been on debating forums for eleven years, teaching myself maths from garde seven level, when I failed it and dropped it, moving onto sciences and other 'debating fields.'

But, in between all that I ventured into college education free textbooks for reference for the things I was trying to do. So, in a way, I managed to teach myself, with only Wikipedia and other on line resources, the basics and this and that about everything, if you will?

Glad to be here, and, hope to see you out there soon.
