In summary, cosmology is the study of the origin, evolution, and structure of the universe. It seeks to understand the fundamental laws and principles that govern the universe and its components, such as galaxies, stars, and planets. Cosmology is important because it helps us gain a deeper understanding of our place in the universe, the origins of the universe, and the potential fate of the universe. It also has practical applications in fields such as astrophysics, astronomy, and space exploration. By studying cosmology, we can unlock the mysteries of the universe and further our understanding of the world around us.

I am a retired engineer from Sweden, with some early university studies in mathematics and physics, but I worked with inforamtion technolgy most of my work life. After retirement, I have taken up an old interest, cosmology, and last year I attended a cosmology course at the University of Stockholm (main literature B. Ryden, Introduction to Cosmolgy). It was very interesting!
