Exploring the Mysteries of SMBH Formation: An Undergrad's Journey

In summary, SMBHs, or supermassive black holes, are incredibly dense objects found at the center of most galaxies. They play a crucial role in shaping the evolution of galaxies, but their formation is still largely a mystery. An undergraduate student's journey into exploring this topic involves studying the different theories and observations surrounding SMBH formation, such as the merger of smaller black holes, accretion of gas and stars, and gravitational collapse. This research also involves examining the effects of SMBHs on their surrounding environment, including the formation and growth of stars, and understanding the potential implications for the future of our own galaxy. Through this journey, students can gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of the universe and the important role that SMBH

Hi! I am an american undergraduate student studying astronomy and physics. I am on a research team searching for IMBHs at the center of dwarf galaxies, trying to figure out how SMBHs are formed.
