What is Astronomy Addiction and How Does it Affect Armchair Observers?

In summary, astronomy addiction is a term used to describe an intense and overwhelming fascination with the study and observation of celestial objects and events. It can affect armchair observers, or those who engage in astronomy purely as a hobby from the comfort of their own homes, by consuming a significant amount of their time and attention. This can lead to neglect of other responsibilities and activities, as well as a sense of detachment from the physical world. However, for many armchair observers, the joy and excitement of exploring and learning about the vast universe outweighs any negative effects of their addiction.

Greetings,
My name is James and I'm an Astronomy addict.
Unfortunately, I'm not a mathematician or physics guy... just an armchair observer who failed the 12-step program for my addiction.
I hope I don't make myself look like TOO much of an idiot. :)
