What if the Earth's Core Stopped Spinning?

In summary, if the Earth's core were to stop spinning, the planet's magnetic field would weaken, leading to increased exposure to harmful solar radiation and a potential extinction event for many species. Additionally, the loss of the Coriolis effect would disrupt weather patterns and cause extreme temperature changes. The rotation of the Earth would also slow down, resulting in longer days and shorter nights. Ultimately, the consequences of a non-spinning Earth's core would be catastrophic for life on our planet.

After watching, "The Core"(2003), a few questions popped into my mind at the painful display of physics:

If the core really did stop spinning (hahahaha, like that would happen), what would be the result? Would it affect gravity at all?

(I realize how asinine I sound, but I really need to know possible answers to these questions.)

The core rotates slightly faster (I think its faster) than the rest of the earth. If it stopped, we wouldn't even notice.

I think we would notice. I think that it would probably trigger earthquakes and mess up the magnetic poles.
