Minimizing the "Stay Connected"

So, in the home page, there's a "Stay connected" thingie, with several links, such as facebook, twitter, etc..

One can minimize that, but whenever you refresh the page, it goes back to the way it was (maximized). Is it possible to, somehow, save the changes made?
