Here are two more recent pictures...one with me taking care of my nephew...I have a real tired, crazy, look because of stressful finals. The other one with the guitar was after a haircut and 3 bottles of chilled Guiness.

Maxwell's Equations Tattoo: Ideas & Designs

I got "courage" in Japanese tattooed to my right bicep (I would include a picture if I had one). But get this: It looks all "cool" and everything but when I flex my arm and look in the mirror, it looks like the square root of x (so in a way, I satisfy both the complete badass in me and the...

News The witch hunt for liberals at UCLA

That's not too surprising but when my US History teacher (who makes Karl Marx look like the posterboy of the GOP) found out that I tend to be liberal on most cases, he was actually tougher on me... I KNEW I shouldn't have worn that Che Guevara shirt that day...

LaTeX Learn LaTeX: Where to Get & How to Use It

    I wish I could give you a detailed explanation but I have to go pretty soon...but here's a LaTeX document I wrote: \documentclass[onecolumn, 10pt]{article} \title{Quantum Mechanics II: Homework} \maketitle \begin{document} 4.26 (a) Check that the spin matrices \begin{equation} S_{z} =...

Ah, I don't know if my love for the bagpipes is necessarily genetic but regardless, it's there. It's the opposite with me though...like the sitar is a traditional Indian instrument but the sound of it irritates me beyond comprehension. But I do like the tabla...thought of picking up some...

LOL. That's pretty funny Danger. I don't know...I like the sound of (in-tune) bagpipes...I think it sounds wonderful when you play it outdoors overlooking a valley...but that's just me. I guess bagpipe music is an acquired taste.

You make a valid point about British influence in India...but here in the south, seeing an Indian guy playing the bagpipes (while not strange when you think of British influence) is a rare sight. But other than that, I tend to have other "British" tendencies...drinking a lot of afternoon tea...

    Who's studying what this spring?

I'm sorry but I don't follow. By the way, that statement I made a few posts back is just a sardonic comment on how I feel quantum mechanics is taught. Especially when I had it, they shoved a lot of theory down our throat with little (if any) applications. The first few months of taking...

Facial hair that's not trimmed can be a big headache to deal with...and a scraggly beard just makes people look lazy. I tend to grow a beard during the winter to keep the face warm. It's nice but shaving it off is hell. I'm glad at least some girls like it. I think it was this previous...
