In summary, a lost city in the rainforests of Honduras, known for its fabled gold and "monkey children", has been discovered by archaeologists. It is believed to be a Mayan site that was abandoned several centuries ago. The site is located about 200 miles east of other known Mayan sites and is not related to the Incas who lived on the west coast of South America.

Your links are not helpful. For me at least they do not go to what I assume you think they go to.

And your links make it very unclear what you want to talk about. "Here are some links!" by itself is not helpful.

Is this a new race of people or are they related to the Incas?

Well, everybody is related to everybody else. How would you tell a "new race" from an old one?

The Incas lived nowhere near this site. (The Mayans were just north of it) The Incas lived in the Andes, on the west coast of South America, not the east coast of Central America.

My money would have to be on some sort of Mayan culture.
1000 years ago the Mayans were big players in the region.
They also built and abandoned many cities.
This new site is only about 200 miles east of other known Mayan sites.

1. What is "America's lost civilization"?

"America's lost civilization" refers to a hypothetical ancient civilization that supposedly existed in the Americas before the arrival of European colonizers. It is often associated with the myth of Atlantis and has been the subject of much speculation and conspiracy theories.

2. Is there any evidence of this lost civilization?

There is no concrete evidence to support the existence of a lost civilization in the Americas. Some proponents point to various archaeological sites and artifacts as possible evidence, but these claims have been largely debunked by experts in the field.

3. Why do some people believe in this lost civilization?

Belief in a lost civilization in the Americas is often fueled by a desire for a grand and mysterious origin story for the continent, as well as a fascination with ancient civilizations and their supposed advanced technology. Some also see it as a way to discredit the accomplishments of indigenous cultures in the Americas.

4. Could there have been a lost civilization in the Americas that we just haven't found yet?

It is highly unlikely that there was a large, advanced civilization in the Americas that has gone completely undiscovered. The Americas have been inhabited for thousands of years and extensive archaeological research has been conducted in the region, making it highly unlikely that a large civilization could have remained hidden for so long.

5. What do scientists and historians think about the idea of a lost civilization in the Americas?

The vast majority of scientists and historians do not believe in the existence of a lost civilization in the Americas. They argue that the evidence simply does not support such a claim and that the idea is based on pseudoscience and conspiracy theories rather than solid research.
