In summary, scientists complete the human genome code project. This project uncovers the genetic code that makes up human DNA. This project also helps scientists determine how to make artificially germinated fetuses. Congress passes laws intended to "safeguard" the sexual categories, but a thriving black market underground develops to create clones, "neuters", "super"-men & -women, "Stepford"-wives, etc. The new Einstein (whoever he is) cracks the ultimate code of matter. This code allows scientists to develop anti-gravity machines. The meaning of life--struggle, destination, accident, free will, adversity and death--dissolves. People and their favorite pets can choose to live to be 300

As for predictions: In 2065 the first computer to human virus transmission will occur. The Norton-Kaiser corporation saves humanity with their anti-nanovirus mouth wash.
Wha-wh-what? How is this contracted?!

I predict the Unification Theory will be solved, becoming the most incredible occurrence in our lifetimes!

After living as a hermit for 60 years I finally complete my doomsday device and destroy the world. Afterwards only fragments of the Earth are left and I escape on an asteriod and live the rest of my life in space with my pet Sasquatch.
This sounds vaguely familiar. Is your name Professor Chaos, and is the asteroid really a giant Bob's Big Boy?

Well, being optimistic is great, but here you're just fooling yourself.

Maybe. They did win 14 in their first 50 years or so in the league and they've been in the finals on average every other year. Then there's that expansion thing.

What got into the water in Tampa? The Bucs and the Lightning winning titles in the same two-year span - wouldn't have expected that. I predict that Los Angeles will finally have an NFL team again, and the USC Trojans would win the NFC West if they were allowed to compete in it.

I predict the Phoenix Suns will trail the Lakers and all other NBA teams by one or two points, only winning when the clock just so happens to run out at times when they are one point ahead--for the next 60 years. Oooops, sorry, that was pessimistic...

I predict Jerry Colangelo will go bankrupt, clearing the way for the Los Angeles Lakers to dump salary and sign Amare Stoudemire when he hits unrestricted free agency in 2007, precipitating another 3-peat.

I predict loseyourname will at last live off the land, free of paying bills and other annoying habits of the modern world, and with these encumbrances removed, will regain interest in talking about about sex.

They'll have drugs by then that will allow you to control what interests you. Cialis+, and I'll be taking it.

You'll be pretty old, you know. You can join if you're of use, but I'll be saving my Cialis+ for the young'uns.

60 years from now ...

... some advances in medicine
... some advances in computing
... some advances in materials science
... some minor advances in nanotech
... some minor advances in fundamental physics
... China and US are the two major economic powers

... no human-level AI
... no teleportation
... no practical fusion
... no space tourism beyond Earth orbit
... no lunar or Mars settlements
... no theory of everything
... no interstellar travel within human lifetime
... no time travel
... no replicators (via nanotech)
... no alien ET communication
... no solution to world poverty and hunger and disease
... no everlasting peace or end of wars
... no decrease in supernatural belief
... no accurate weather or climate or earthquake prediction
... no increase of leisure hours (on average)

In summary, a few scientific and technological advances, mostly minor, and a faster, nastier, and more competitive society.
