    Code Latex
In summary, there used to be a function where clicking on a LaTeX image would open a new window with the code used to generate the image, which was helpful for learning LaTeX. However, this function seems to be gone. It is now suggested to try right-clicking and using Firefox to access the MathJax menu, which may be hidden and can be found by scrolling on the page. This change occurred in May 2011, as discussed in a Physics Forums thread.

Once upon a time I could click on a LaTeX image and a new window with the code used to generate the image would pop up. This was super useful in learning LaTeX. This function gone?

Using Firefox, you might get the MathJax menu hiding as shown here:

But if you scroll the page you can find it as shown here:

Related to LaTeX: Click to see code gone?

1. What is LaTeX?

LaTeX is a document preparation system used for creating professional and high-quality documents, particularly in the fields of science, mathematics, and engineering. It is based on the TeX typesetting language and is known for its ability to handle complex mathematical equations and symbols.

2. How is LaTeX different from other word processing software?

Unlike traditional word processors, LaTeX uses plain text files with special commands and formatting to create documents. This allows for more precise control over the layout and design of the document. Additionally, LaTeX is free and open-source, and has a large community of users who contribute to improving it.

3. Is LaTeX difficult to learn?

LaTeX may have a steeper learning curve compared to other word processors, but it is not necessarily difficult to learn. Once you understand the basic commands and syntax, it can be quite straightforward to use. There are also many online resources and tutorials available to help beginners get started.

4. Can LaTeX be used for any type of document?

While LaTeX is primarily used for scientific and technical documents, it can also be used for other types of documents such as resumes, letters, and presentations. However, it may require more effort to customize the design and layout for these types of documents compared to using a traditional word processor.

5. Do I need to install any software to use LaTeX?

Yes, you will need to install a LaTeX distribution, such as TeX Live or MiKTeX, on your computer in order to use LaTeX. These distributions include all the necessary programs and packages to create and compile LaTeX documents. There are also online editors available for those who do not want to install any software on their computer.
