It says "offers a unique vision of the Beowulf saga in a way that it has never been told before".
How many people do you think that will go to see this movie have ever read it? They'll probably think it's another fantasy novel ala LOTR.
Cons: Angelina Jolie

The movie "Beowulf" is based on the epic Old English poem of the same name. It follows the story of the legendary hero, Beowulf, who is called upon by the king of the Danes to defeat the monster Grendel, who has been terrorizing their kingdom. Beowulf and his men successfully defeat Grendel, but they soon discover that there is another threat in the form of Grendel's mother. Beowulf must once again use his bravery and strength to defeat her and ultimately becomes the king of the Danes.
The movie "Beowulf" takes some creative liberties with the original poem, such as adding new characters and changing certain plot points. However, the overall story and themes of the poem remain intact. It also stays true to the poem's setting and characters, as well as incorporating many of the poem's famous lines and phrases.
The main characters in the movie "Beowulf" include Beowulf, the hero and protagonist of the story; King Hrothgar, the ruler of the Danes; Grendel, the monstrous creature terrorizing the kingdom; Grendel's mother, seeking revenge for her son's death; and Wiglaf, Beowulf's loyal warrior. Other important characters include Queen Wealtheow, Unferth, and the dragon.
The dragon in the movie "Beowulf" represents the ultimate challenge and downfall of Beowulf. It is a symbol of greed and excess, as Beowulf's desire for treasure leads him to awaken the dragon and ultimately leads to his death. The dragon also represents the inevitable cycle of life and death, as it is the final obstacle Beowulf must face before passing on his legacy to Wiglaf.
The movie "Beowulf" explores the themes of heroism and mortality through the epic journey of its protagonist, Beowulf. Beowulf is portrayed as a heroic figure, using his strength and bravery to defeat the monsters threatening the kingdom. However, even he is not immune to mortality, as he eventually faces his own death in his final battle against the dragon. The movie also explores the idea of a hero's legacy and how one's actions can impact future generations.
