Inductive transfer via mag. fields, max power transfer?

In summary, inductive transfer via magnetic fields is a method of transferring energy between two objects using magnetic fields. This process involves creating an alternating current in one object, which then creates a changing magnetic field. This changing magnetic field induces a current in the second object, allowing energy to be transferred between the two objects. This method works by using the principle of electromagnetic induction and follows the maximum power transfer theorem, which states that the impedance of the two objects must be matched for maximum power transfer. Inductive transfer via magnetic fields has several advantages, including wireless energy transfer, high efficiency, and the ability to transfer energy over longer distances compared to other wireless energy transfer methods. It is also safe and environmentally friendly, making it a desirable method for energy transfer

Hey guys;
I'm looking for info on the maximum power transfer using the magnetic induction method. The current through a coil, then catch the mag field with another coil idea. Mainly looking for high energy transfer methods, maybe some equations that describe it. A friend and i are playing with the idea of a bio dome at the bottom of the ocean, and wanted to use this idea to recharge drones, subs, high energy lights without having to penetrate the dome. thanks everyone.

Related to Inductive transfer via mag. fields, max power transfer?

1. What is inductive transfer via magnetic fields?

Inductive transfer via magnetic fields is a method of transferring energy between two objects using magnetic fields. This process involves creating an alternating current in one object, which then creates a changing magnetic field. This changing magnetic field induces a current in the second object, allowing energy to be transferred between the two objects.

2. How does inductive transfer via magnetic fields work?

Inductive transfer via magnetic fields works by using the principle of electromagnetic induction. When an alternating current flows through a wire, it creates a changing magnetic field around the wire. This changing magnetic field can then induce an alternating current in a nearby wire, allowing for energy transfer between the two objects.

3. What is the maximum power transfer theorem?

The maximum power transfer theorem is a principle that states that in order to transfer the maximum amount of power between two objects, the impedance (resistance) of the two objects must be matched. This means that the resistance of the receiving object must be equal to the resistance of the transmitting object, in order for the maximum amount of power to be transferred.

4. How is maximum power transfer achieved in inductive transfer via magnetic fields?

In inductive transfer via magnetic fields, maximum power transfer is achieved by matching the impedance of the two objects involved in the energy transfer. This means that the resistance of the receiving object must be equal to the resistance of the transmitting object. Additionally, the frequency of the alternating current must also be matched between the two objects to achieve maximum power transfer.

5. What are the advantages of inductive transfer via magnetic fields?

Inductive transfer via magnetic fields has several advantages, including wireless energy transfer, high efficiency, and the ability to transfer energy over longer distances compared to other wireless energy transfer methods. It is also safe and environmentally friendly, as it does not involve the use of wires or produce any harmful emissions.
