When I started a new thread just now, I had to click the "More Options" button at the bottom of the screen to get the line that had the font size control. Maybe try that? (I'm on a Win10 laptop)

Okay, give me a second to take a screenshot. That Christmas sherry had better be back by the time I post the pic...

No, I see it.

It's different depending on how you start a new thread.

This is what I see before clicking the big More Options button in the lower right. Clicking it adds in the font size selector to the Options line at the top.

Yes. But....There's more than one way to start a new thread.

I can start a new thread "inline", thus:

and I get the editor with "More Options", thus:

1671734915187.png

Or I can start a thread with the "Post Thread" button, thus:

1671734975902.png

and I get the extra editor functions directly, thus:

1671735041253.png

But - there is no such control when I reply to a thread, thus:
1671735180889.png
or when I edit a post, thus:

But what? You click that button and you still don't see the text size control?

Are you on a laptop? Which OS and browser? I'm using Firefox.

Oh, I see what you are asking now. The Reply option does not display the font control or the "More options..." button.

Yeah, neither does the Edit button.

Text size in the editor has been disabled for many years. It's unnecessary and too often abused.

Yay. The thing I really wanted to use I have managed to instead get deprecated. Yay.

Too bad the tiny fonts cut off at the baseline. Otherwise I'd say "Yav!" too.

Never ask a question that you do not already know the answer to. :-p

Related to I'm not crazy - font size control disappears

1. Why does the font size control disappear?

The font size control may disappear due to a malfunction or bug in the software or website you are using. It could also be caused by a setting or preference that has been changed or disabled.

2. How can I fix the disappearing font size control?

First, try refreshing the page or restarting the software to see if that resolves the issue. If not, check your settings or preferences to make sure the font size control is enabled. You may also need to update your software or clear your cache and cookies.

3. Is this a common problem?

This issue may occur from time to time, but it is not a common problem. It could be specific to the software or website you are using, or it could be a rare bug that has not been reported yet.

4. Can I still change the font size without the control?

Yes, you can still change the font size by using keyboard shortcuts or accessing the font size settings through a different method. This may vary depending on the software or website you are using.

5. Will the font size control reappear on its own?

In most cases, the font size control should reappear on its own once the issue has been resolved. However, if the problem persists, you may need to seek further assistance from the software or website's support team.
