In summary, when putting a drill back together, it is important to refer to the manual or diagram and take pictures or notes of the disassembly process. The tools needed may include a screwdriver, pliers, and possibly a wrench, and it is helpful to have a workbench or sturdy surface. If a piece breaks, a replacement part may be needed or the manufacturer can be contacted. It is recommended to use a lubricant specifically designed for power tools, and the time it takes to reassemble a drill can vary but can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour on average.

I recently took apart a drill I got from goodwill to see the inside and I want to put it back together so I can use it for a DIY project (not sure what project yet) and I can't for the life of me get the gears back into place. Any tips on how to get them back in?
