How accurate is ANSYS-Maxwell?

In summary, the conversation discussed the use of a software for simulating and comparing data, particularly in the field of engineering. The software has been used by many industry engineers, indicating its reliability. The conversation also mentioned a potential project idea for the software involving rewinding a non-symmetric alternator on a motorcycle, but no definitive answer or simulation has been done yet. Overall, the software seems to be a useful tool for modeling systems and may be worth considering for projects.

I've been using this software for a while for various problems/projects, but never actually experimented based on a simulation, and compared the simulation data vs. actual data.
I would love to get input of how accurate is this software is in-comparison to others like COMSOL/LISA?

If you are looking for a semi-real world project for Maxwell, look at this thread. It has to do with rewinding a non-symmetric alternator on a motorcycle.

Ther has been much diverse speculation as to the 'correct' approach but no one has come up with a definitive answer or done a simulation. If you decide to tackle this, note that there are several pertinent details scattered throughout the thread.
