In summary, hydraulic engineering in Pittsburgh encompasses a variety of projects and initiatives aimed at managing and utilizing the city's water resources effectively. These include stormwater management systems, riverfront development, and flood control measures. While the technical aspects of hydraulic engineering may be complex, the impact on the city's infrastructure and overall quality of life is significant. As a non-scientist, exploring this field can provide a greater understanding and appreciation for the ways in which our environment is shaped and managed.

Hi Everyone! I wanted to introduce myself. I live in Pittsburgh, PA. I am not a scientist, although I am an active member of the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh. I joined here because I need help with some hydraulic engineering and I thought it might stimulate conversation on a forum like this. I hope to learn from the members here. Thanks!
