electromagnetic waves are created or produced by accelerated charge. but EM WAVES are chargeless? how is it? please clarify folks... thanks in advance
Electromagnetic waves are a type of energy that is created by the movement of electrically charged particles. They can travel through empty space and do not require a medium to propagate.
Unlike mechanical waves, such as sound waves, electromagnetic waves do not require a medium to travel through. They also have a much wider range of frequencies and wavelengths, including radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, X-rays, and gamma rays.
Electromagnetic waves do not have a charge because they are created by the oscillation of electric and magnetic fields, which do not have a net charge. This is in contrast to particles such as protons and electrons, which do have a charge.
Electromagnetic waves have a wide range of applications, including communication (radio waves), cooking (microwaves), heating (infrared), and visual displays (visible light). They are also used in medical imaging (X-rays) and sterilization (UV light).
High-energy electromagnetic waves, such as X-rays and gamma rays, can be harmful to living organisms as they have the ability to ionize atoms and damage DNA. However, low-energy waves, such as radio waves and visible light, are generally considered safe for humans.
