Hi,
I am a computer enthusiast and work in a software company, but have recently started getting interested in hardware as well. I also learn to fly as a sport pilot (ultralight trike) and have decided to build a VHR AM receiver to listen to air traffic communications. Furthermore, for learning purposes I'd like to build an interface to a PC using Arduino development board, so that I can set the frequency and receive the audio stream digitally. Although this is not needed to just listen to communications, this will give me additional experience with hardware including writing drivers etc.
I live in Germany, but come from Ukraine originally. Looking forward learning from the experts on this forum.
