Alan White: Legendary Drummer with Yes, Dies at 72

In summary, Alan White, drummer for the legendary band Yes, passed away at the age of 72. He was not only known for his impressive skills as a drummer, but also for his work with John Lennon. White was able to learn the band's entire 1972 set in just one weekend, which included difficult material from albums such as Close to the Edge, the Yes Album, and Fragile. His contributions to the band during their prime were greatly respected, as seen in their opening performance of "Ive seen all good people." Though it is difficult to hear him sounding old and frail in some clips, White had a successful career with Yes and will be remembered by many.

Alan White, drummer with Yes, dies at 72.

If you are good enough to be the drummer in Yes then you are very good.
He also played with John Lennon. RIP.

He learned the 1972 set in a weekend because they had a gig Monday!? That is nuts. I just checked 'Yessongs 1972' set list.
Close to the Edge, the Yes Album and Fragile stuff all in there.
That is a lot of difficult material.
I just watched a little bit on YouTube, they have an entire concert and open with, 'Ive seen all good people.' Amazing band in their prime there.

Difficult listening to him sounding so old and frail in your clip. He had a good career in Yes, respected.
