    Specific Heat Capacity Graph Question

Thank you for your reply. I figure it out. There was only one change of state from liquid to solid, hence one horizontal line to show this. Regards

    Specific Heat Capacity Graph Question

Homework Statement My answer is question 3 part c the graph. SHC = c http://www.ocr.org.uk/Images/61757-question-paper-unit-g484-the-Newtonian-world.pdf [See page 7]Homework Equations E=mcdelta theta Power=Energy/Time Therfroe Power*Time = Mass*c*delta theta. The Attempt at a Solution See in...

Prove mass, velocity and KE are their respected quantities

Thank you, this was what I was looking for. So in general we have; scalar*scalar= scalar? scalar*vector = vector vector*vector = scalar. What about work done though? Work done = energy So force * distance = vector * scalar? = vector Could you also kindly tell me about how to prove mass...

Prove mass, velocity and KE are their respected quantities

I have done the example for momentum. And I gather that scalar*vector=vector. I know that mass and KE is scalar, velocity is vector. Can someone show me proofs like for what I have said above. Not just mass is scalar because it does not have direction etc. Thank you.

Why does a capacitor discharge slowly?

After giving this some thought; V = V0 e^(-t/RC) so as resistance increases then voltage decreases? Doesn't this contradict what you said - or am I totally wrong. And what does DCR mean :/ Digital something resistance?

Describe absorption experiment to distinguish 3 radiations

All good points. alpha ~ 0.2mm of paper beta ~ 1mm Pb/1-10 mm Al gamma ~ 1-10cm of Pb/Several m of concrete Measure initial count and discount it from the radiation present? Could you not just use paper for example, alpha won't be able to penetrate it then say that, that radiation is...

Why does a capacitor discharge slowly?

Thank you very much for your help. Just to consolidate though, the internal resistance causes the overall resistance to be large in this circuit?
