    Differential equation using complex exponentials

Homework Statement Find three independent solutions to the differential equation \frac{d^3}{dt^3}f(t) + f(t) = 0 You should use complex exponentials to derive the solutions, but express the results in real form. Homework Equations sin\theta = \frac{e^{i\theta} - e^{-i\theta}}{2i} cos\theta =...

Binary in 2s complement form subtraction/addition help

sweet! It made sense to me when you explained it and i was like "hmm well that's easy stuff lol" and it took me like 5 minutes to fix my mistakes haha i don't think my teach wants us to go into that deep level of explanations. if i get the same number for the result in binary and in normal...

Binary in 2s complement form subtraction/addition help

ok that makes sense. so for part B, it would be 11+(-26) = -15 and i'd just leave the addition as 001011 + 100110 = 110001 take the 2's comp of 110001 since i have to return it to the original 2s signed # it would be 001111 which is 15 but it's negative so -15 no overflow here. then part C, -18...

    Determination of Atomic Masses help

    what i did: 27.40 * 0.781 = 21.4 52.9 * 0.811 = 42.9 62.6 * 0.856 = 53.59 there is a hint that says i have no idea how to get the common factor with those numbers.. btw i had no idea where i can post this in here so i posted here :X

    Series: converges or diverges help

\frac{2n+1}{3n-1} as n\to\infty will be 0 and for \ln\left(\frac{2n+1}{3n-1}\right) it will be ln(0) which is impossible.. but if plugging numbers like 10, 100, 1000... into \ln\left(\frac{2n+1}{3n-1}\right) the number becomes smaller and smaller all the way to -\infty so does it mean that...

Solve for the y-Intercept: Curve Through (4/9,1) with Slope of -2/y3

i got 2.087 once i got y = (-8x + 19)^0.25 y-int is when x=0 so y=19^0.25 = 2.087 its weird how the slope they gave us don't even help.. its there to make the question scary i guess.
