Hi there,
I have been doing some research about vacuum system setup and I've seen the setup shown in the attachment.
Pressure: P1a, P1b, P2a, P2b
Throughput/gas flow: Q1, Qs
Pump speed: Sp (pumping speed of the pump)
Conductance:Ca, Cb, C
Some papers have assumed that P2a = P2b, but...
I've been trying to figure this out for a few days now and I hope someone can help me out...If an object is lifted 1m above the rigid ground and then it is dropped.
What would be to force experience (in Newton) by the object if:
- You don't know the exact distant or time for the object to come...
Hi Doug,
Thanks for the info!
If possible, could you point me to an example of such weldable omega seal?
Also, do you know how are those thin seals are welded?
Thank you!
Thanks everyone for the input!
Shell, I was wondering if you have some pictures of your spot welder rollers by any chance. This might be a good way for me to do it since I have a spot welder.
Thanks for the reply.
I've seen the post about Al foil, but I'm not sure if SS will be different.
We've tried TIG with folded edges, but didn't really work well..
how to welding thin SS foil (0.002")?
Hi all,
currently I'm working on a project that require to weld two thin SS foil (0.002" thick) together. and the weld needs to be vacuum tight.
What's the best way to do this?
Are there companies out there that could do this for me?
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the reply!
I'm trying to create an agent based model on bone growth, so that's why I want to understand how Ca is moving in and out of the cells.
So I am thinking about to assume the followings, but I'm not sure if they are physiologically relevant:
The Ca induced into the cell due...
Hi,
I am trying to write a model that simulates calcium input and output based on the induced strain, strain rate, and frequency of the applied strain.
But before I can do that, I am trying to know more about the biophysics of the cell.
How does the calcium pump/channel physically react...
Thank you for the responses!
For F'(15)
I expand y(20-y) as a Fourier cosine series, but I got
F'(15) = -A*sin(15*p) = FourierCosine series in terms of 'y'
I still don't know what to do with the y term. Do I just set x=y(20-y) and solve for y, then put it back to the Fourier Consine series...

u_y(x,0) = 0
u_y(x,30) = 0
u_x(0,y) = 0
u_x(15,y) = y(20-y)

u(1,t)=0
initial conditions:
u(x,0)=f(x)
u_t(x,t)=0

Hi, I'm really wondering what are the approach and steps to construct an engineered tissue.
I've heard of in vivo, ex vivo, in vitro, but don't really know the differences, pros, and cons for those approach.
I also don't know processes that occur during the process of engineering a tissue...
