    Magnetic permeability Vs. Magnetic susceptibility

I discovered I don't know magnetism well enough to even piece together a conceptual understanding so I'm going to go cry in a corner. lol

    Magnetic permeability Vs. Magnetic susceptibility

Hi I'm trying to find the difference between magnetic susceptibility and permeability? Do they both mean the same thing? If not, can anyone clear things up for me?

Is There a Limit to the Size of a Black Hole?

So it's not that bigger black holes emit less hawking radiation than smaller ones? It's just that the surface area becomes more spread out as the black hole becomes larger and is distributed less intensely to an object that remains a constant size? In other words, theoretically, if an object...

Is There a Limit to the Size of a Black Hole?

That's cool I didn't know that. Why is that?

Is There a Limit to the Size of a Black Hole?

I'm just curious, do black holes have a maximum size? In other words, if it theoretically had an infinite supply of matter to "feed" off of, would the black hole just get more and more massive or is there a point where it can no longer fit anymore matter? Will it just spit out hawking radiation?

Solving a Trigonometry Problem with a Missing 90-Degree Angle

All done. The answer is 3.3. Took more time to post this thread then it did to solve. XD Thanks again nathanael

Solving a Trigonometry Problem with a Missing 90-Degree Angle

That's kinda what I was thinking. Thanks for confirming that.

Solving a Trigonometry Problem with a Missing 90-Degree Angle

The Attempt at a Solution I'm not sure where to start and the book doesn't show a 90 degree angle on the lower region where h meets the base. Can someone nudge me in the right direction please?[/B]

    Gravitational attraction between two atoms

Yes. Things are gravitationally attracted to each other out to infinity

Could Reducing Gravity Impact the 'Burping' of a Bottle?

Hello I have a question. When you turn a bottle upside down, the liquid pours out and air pockets rise into the upper part of the bottle, taking the place of the displaced water. I'm just curious, if you could reduce the effect of gravity on the bottle, is there a point where the bottle could...

Is there a medium in which sound travels faster than light?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the maximum speed information can possibly propagate through a medium equal to the speed of light? In other words, the wave energy passing through a medium can only move as fast as the particles within the object can transmit that energy from one particle to...

A question about heat transfer in our atmosphere

So I've been wondering this for a couple days now: Is radiation the only means for decreasing the internal energy of our atmosphere? I know that in kinetic theory the molecules are similar to bouncy balls and if they were in contact with the vacuum of space, the air molecules would have no...

Question about space travel and the human body

Hello I have a question that's been bothering me for a while now and I figured I'd post it here to see if anyone could put my mind at ease. (Sorry if I accidentally posted this in the wrong place) Given that people can only withstand a certain amount of force on their bodies (about 5 Gs)...
