Other Math Textbooks: Intermediate/Advanced Series for Physicists

I am aware of that. The reason I brought up classes is because of your mention of classes being trivial and that being related to studying the books. P.S. I looked up those books and found nothing past high school level besides statistics and number theory. Are those competition prep books...

Other Math Textbooks: Intermediate/Advanced Series for Physicists

Well given that I scored a 98% in my last class without studying once while about 90% of students in it did not even pass, I guess I can say that classes are trivial for me. But I will have to purchase those books and see how that goes.

It would probably help if I told you my percentile for a standardized test my county requires 3 times each year. Last time I took it I scored in about the 98th-99th percentile. It might also help to say that I have helpful tools in my house that make it much easier. I have many whiteboards...

Schools Testing out of college and earning a PhD

Hello I'm currently in high school but I am teaching myself ALOT of math and physics. I'm planning to go to Princeton, MIT, or Stanford. I am curious, since I will already know all of it, if I will be able to acquire a Bachelors degree in physics in one or two years by testing out. If I do...

    Getting worse at mental arithmetic

Okay, looks like I will be adding that book to my shelf then. Thank you.

    Getting worse at mental arithmetic

Hello I have a question reguarding human calculation. I'm in high school and I have been called a "math whiz" when it comes to subjects like algebra or calculus. But my school has kids using calculators so much that I haven't been using my head much for calculations. Because of this, I feel...

Other Math Textbooks: Intermediate/Advanced Series for Physicists

Hello I was looking for a volume set in intermediate/advanced math and I can't seem to find anything. I already have a book in calculus 2 but I'm looking to self study everything after that through advanced math. I want to be a theoretical physicist, but I'm open to learning interesting math...

    Mathematic subjects to self study.

I am currently in high school and have been driven to become a theoretical physicist in an unsure field for quite some time now. I have been unfairly placed in a very easy math class even though I already know it. I have been studying upon subjects such as algebra 2 and pre-cal and recently...

Physics Can a theoretical physicist do multiple fields?

Okay, so my question here is, If I want a PhD. in a certain field of theoretical physics, which field would be more open to other fields. I was thinking something like mathematical physics, particle physics, or cosmology. Since there are other fields either based off of, or are closely...

Physics Can a theoretical physicist do multiple fields?

Thank you. By the way, I got this list from what other people say, and what I know. Not from that irrational "horoscope" thing. I asked because I currently have no acquaintances or contacts that know what it takes to become a physicist. But once again, Thank you. I will use this information...

Physics Can a theoretical physicist do multiple fields?

With these attributes, would I be likely to succeed as a theoretical physicist? Which ones should I work on to improve? -Superior Intelligence -Curious -Committed -ADHD (Diagnosed) -Show OCD-like signs -Creative -Shy (at times) -Like to read but tend to procrastinate with it at times -Observant...

Physics Can a theoretical physicist do multiple fields?

Based on what I have learned, I know that a theoretical physicist has to work in a specific field. But can one work in two? For instance, a person who has a PhD in cosmology but is working on both cosmology and field theories (quantum, unified). Or maybe even the same person working at a...

    Fields of Theoretical Physics.

I'm in high school, thinking about what I want to do in college. I am aiming to get some sort of PhD in Theoretical Physics. I would love to just get one in general theoretical physics, but I am unsure if that is offered. I know that I can go into specific areas such as particle or field...
