Freshman Student Worried About Order of Courses

It's not that useful in differential equation or in vector calc. It's a problem because I calculated integrals and summations with a graphing calculator throughout high school and I don't think I have the best fundamentals.

Freshman Student Worried About Order of Courses

Thanks for the elaborate answer. I enjoyed reading about your perspective, I don't usually hear anyone speak so honestly of AP course credit! I only took AP courses because, well, they were the norm in my high school. I eventually went to a school which didn't accept AP course as credit...

Tinkercard Digital object and 3D printing

I converted 3D models to .X or .OBJ format. I meant "directly" as in creating it from a 3D printing program (which I have never done but apparently exists. Seems like the models created there won't be complicated as those created in traditional modeling programs) And I'd recommend testing those...

Freshman Student Worried About Order of Courses

Yes, I did take AP Calculus and I did fine in it. Difference is, my current university does not allow usage of calculators like my high school AP courses did. It's harder than I expected. Old textbooks definitely still help though

Perpetual Motion Idea: Is It Possible?

This wouldn't be possible with friction on the ramp surface, that's all I'm certain about. Maybe this could be modeled with a frictionless surface however.

Tinkercard Digital object and 3D printing

You're welcome! I only printed "floating" objects after exporting format... and that was fine; it basically printed the object alone, without heeding the space between the workplane. Not sure if printing directly will make a difference. As for spaces between portions of the object (ex. extra...

Tinkercard Digital object and 3D printing

I've printed objects from TinkerCad before and they will be printed accurate to the models on-screen, just as any other objects from other programs. It largely depends on the residue that is created, and the scale. Smaller scale is generally less polygonal but with more noticeable residue...

Deriving ground state electron energy using Boundary Value

Okay, will keep in mind. Thanks! I'm slightly touched you remember which problem this is.. and I apologize for the terrible image quality! I'll be more quotable next post.

Deriving ground state electron energy using Boundary Value

This is the equation given. I attempted to use Radial Equation, obtained from separating variables, to solve for ##E_1##.

Expressing an Integral as a sum of terms

The two sides will not be equal. As the user above said, the left side is a Riemann Sum and only used as approximation.

Partial Derivative of a formula based on the height of a cylinder

The function should use (r,z,t) variables The domain is (0,H) Since U is not dependent on angle, then theta can be ignored in the expression for Laplacian in cylindrical coordinates(?)

Schrodinger's Equation in terms of vacuum permittivity?

Ok, thank you. I wanted to make sure it was the correct equation.

Deriving the first-order system for this governing equation

Yes, that is the governing equation. Sorry, should have been 'a damped nonlinear vibration' instead of 'this damped nonlinear vibration' and with the equation written below.

Freshman Student Worried About Order of Courses

Oh, I'm not a Physics major. I'm an engineering major, so I'm sure the pacing is still, even if not as fast. Thanks for the concern though. If it means anything, I took Differential Equations before I even started learning linear algebra and now I have homework questions I fail to even...

Freshman Student Worried About Order of Courses

Thanks for the warm welcome. I signed up for Differential Equations and Vector Calculus in my first year of university. It hasn't been great, if I must be honest. Among other things of course. I thought I was giving myself a head start but it doesn't feel that way anymore!
