In summary, the player played the New York Times daily word game and found that they had a higher fail rate in playing against Spanish-speaking humans. They also mentioned that the game is similar to a board game they remember from their childhood.

Tough one. For me at least. My vocabulary isn't always as big as I'd like to think. At least I dont have to talk to you ppl. I'd probably sound like a 12 year old having read too many programming books.

I'd end up using stereoisometry, encapsulation, yellowjacket and daddy longlegs in the same sentence. :)

Any of you ever nailed it in one?

Yup. See post #947. I have stuck with the same seed so I don't expect a repeat.

I remember that I once thought: Should I take A or B, to begin with? I chose B and A was the solution.

Yes, Catholics had an advantage.

Not only Catholics, but also Eastern Orthodox Christians. The Filioque that was added by the Catholic church to the formulation of this five-lettered word was one of the causes that led the the schism between the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches in the 11th century. Whatever happened to good old power struggle?

I must confess, I had to cheat on this one. I found a scrabble website where I could find words ending in "O"

This cheating was so unsatisfying that I will never do that again.

Astounding so much credence a snippet of historic [sic?] information lends to a game of relatively little historical [sic?] impact.

Just now I had to look up whether to use historic or historical. Did I get it right? Does it matter? Do I have too much free time? :)
