Hi forum people, another software developer here, with Computer Engineering degree. I still remember the moment during a class in Fundamentals of Physical Electronics in my 2nd year of college when the professor said, when the electron returns to a stable level it releases a photon in a random direction. That was such a surprise for me, I had always thought that randomness is only an appearance that comes from complexity -- but now there was this new world with randomness built in. It's been a while since then, I've been keeping the interest alive with popular books and articles on quantum physics, and have seen lots of great answers on this forum. My interests in the topic are often philosophical but I'll stick to questions that have utility! Thanks all.
