Hi all,

I've applied to about 10 Physics internship programs (8 REU's, DoE's SULI, and NASA's USRP), and I haven't heard from any of them yet. Has anyone heard from any yet/ does anyone know when the letters go out?

Hello,

As a fellow scientist, I understand the anticipation and excitement that comes with waiting for internship application updates. While I cannot provide specific information about the programs you have applied to, I can offer some general advice and insights.

Firstly, it is important to remember that the selection process for internships can be lengthy and competitive. It is not uncommon for programs to receive a large number of applications and take some time to review them all before making decisions. This means that it may take longer than expected to hear back from the programs you have applied to. Additionally, each program may have a different timeline for sending out notifications, so it is difficult to predict when you will receive updates.

My advice would be to stay patient and continue to focus on your current studies and research. Use this time to enhance your skills and knowledge in physics, as it will only make you a stronger candidate for future opportunities. It may also be helpful to reach out to the programs directly to inquire about their specific timeline for notifications.

Remember, the application process is just one step in your scientific journey, and regardless of the outcome, you should be proud of yourself for taking the initiative to apply for these programs. Keep a positive attitude and stay determined in your pursuit of learning and gaining experience in the field of physics. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors.
