What is the closest thing we can come up with that does the same thing as ID4's force field?Assuming we have unlimited energy, unlimited space and somehow won't kill anyone in the process.
I had an idea: perhaps it’s a magnetic field somehow deployed in that certain position and fries anything tries passing it fast by heating it up like induction heaters, and allowed slow objects to pass. Is that somewhat possible?(after all,I have unlimited energy)jedishrfu said:One thought was that it was velocity based, ie fast projectiles were stopped but slow moving ones were not
The force field in ID4 is created by harnessing the power of gravity. The alien ships use a series of gravity generators to create a powerful force field that can protect them from attacks.
Replicating the force field seen in ID4 is currently not possible with our current technology. It would require advanced gravity-manipulating technology and a vast amount of energy to create and sustain such a force field.
If we were able to replicate the force field in ID4, it could have numerous applications in military defense, space exploration, and even everyday life. It could be used to protect against natural disasters, deflect incoming objects, and provide a shield for astronauts during space travel.
One potential drawback of having a force field like this is the amount of energy it would require. It would also have to be carefully controlled to avoid causing harm to living organisms or disrupting the Earth's natural systems.
To create a force field like the one in ID4, we would need to make significant advancements in gravity manipulation technology. This would require a deep understanding of gravity and the ability to manipulate it at a large scale, which is currently beyond our capabilities.
