In summary, a chemical engineer can transition to becoming a physics teacher by obtaining a teaching certificate or degree in education, gaining experience through internships or teaching assistant positions, and networking with other educators and schools. Additionally, having a strong background in mathematics and physics will be beneficial in making the transition smoother. It may also be helpful to attend workshops or conferences related to physics education to gain knowledge and skills in teaching. With determination and a passion for education, a chemical engineer can successfully make the transition to becoming a physics teacher.

I'm a chemical engineer working as an Assistant Professor, but I'll soon be making a career change to be a school physics teacher (I enjoy teaching).

I have a research background in materials processing, in particular advanced ceramics, and a teaching background in thermodynamics and transport phenomena.
