In summary, The PF website experienced a technical issue on September 4th, 2008 from 7-9 am Eastern USA time. The error was caused by a kernel failure and excessive traffic. The site was down for a significant portion of the morning and early afternoon. Despite the issue, some users remained calm and made jokes about being prepared with a towel.

I couldn't view PF this morning (4 Sep. 2008), this was around 7 to 9 am Eastern USA time. Did anyone else have a problem? I could browse other sites just fine.
