This is not a homework question. It is a question that I can't figure out

In summary, the purpose of asking a question is to seek clarification on a topic or problem for learning purposes. The person may not be able to figure out the answer themselves due to lack of knowledge, complexity of the question, or a need for outside perspective. The question could be related to any field or subject, and someone can still provide help even without specific details. It is appropriate to ask for help on a question that is not a homework assignment as it promotes learning and understanding.

Remember that

[tex]x^2=y^2[/tex]

doesn't mean that x=y. (indeed, we can have x=-y as well).

Here

[tex](4-9/2)^2=(5-9/2)^2[/tex]

doesn't mean that we can leave off the squares.
