Even a footprint stands a chance of lasting a few hundred thousand years.
Biggest problem would be the stray meteor going splat.
The lasting power of man-made structures refers to the ability of structures created by humans to withstand the test of time and remain functional and intact for extended periods of time. This includes buildings, bridges, roads, and other forms of infrastructure.
The lifespan of man-made structures can vary greatly depending on factors such as materials used, maintenance, and environmental conditions. Generally, well-built structures can last for decades or even centuries, while others may only have a lifespan of a few years.
The main factors that can affect the lasting power of man-made structures include the quality of materials used, design and construction techniques, maintenance and upkeep, exposure to environmental elements such as weather and natural disasters, and the intended use of the structure.
While it is possible to design structures with a very long lifespan, it is not currently possible to create structures that will last forever. Over time, all structures will experience wear and tear and will eventually need to be repaired or replaced.
To increase the lasting power of man-made structures, proper planning, design, and construction techniques are crucial. Regular maintenance and repairs are also important to ensure the longevity of structures. Additionally, advancements in technology and materials can also play a role in increasing the lifespan of man-made structures.
