We'll be updating PF software this coming weekend. Hoping to fix some pesky bugs! Shouldn't be down for more than 15-20min. Likely Saturday morning.

Old-timers: remember the drill. We need to establish an online muster point where we can gather while the update takes 2 days instead of 2 hours.

I've taken the generator out of storage and checked it out, filled the bathtubs with water, full tank of gas in the truck.... hoping for the best, prepared for the worst.

You're not kidding, the mentors back in the day used to have a secret yahoo group during problem updates lol

And a secret chat for the Saturdays (or was it Sundays?) when the then PF chat was of. It was giving people random names though, like Stinky Elf, so the first stage was to guess who is who.

Core software has been updated. I ran into some issues updating PHP. I'll work on that later this week.

Something seems to be up with the CSS (if you weren't aware). It's been looking like this for the last half hour

Related to Greg saying he was going to try to update the PHP stuff that didn't update at the weekend, perhaps?

We're now on PHP 8.1 with a few issues still, but overall seems to be working. Please post any issues here.

I am seeing some new posts with missing content, seems to be images or video.

Most recent is https://www.physicsforums.com/posts/7057407, where the initial text shows but the rest of the rather large message frame is blank.

Hope this isn't a case of "Advance To The Rear."

Was that for me? Firefox does that both on my office laptop/win10 and on my PC/Opensuse at home...
