In summary, the Sun Salutation is a series of 12 yoga positions that focus on listening to the body's signals and releasing tensions or resistances. This practice promotes mind-body integration and can be considered a form of Tai Chi. It is a way to tune up both the body and environment, and is based on the concept of yoking oneself back into oneself. The ancient practice of yoga and other alternative healing methods can provide valuable insights and balance in the scientific world.

Mind-body awareness allows us to yoke ourselves, gather our selves back up. This ancient practice is our collective Tai Chi prana energy movement and balancing technique. This list is simply compiled to assist; as we tune up the temple of the self, the body, we tune up our environment, the universe.

Thank you for this opportunity to share. Awakening awareness to all, Teo

I honestly have never practiced yoga before...I like Zen to leave my mind "float" in peace, and also love to practice TaiKyokuKen whenever I have free time...

*I tried your 12 yoga positions and later I will do it again, just hopefully I will live my life longer as you said ...:sm: *
You know, your Touch-Toes picture looks really funny, I thought that guy had no arms but legs only-first time I had a look at it...:sm:

It is really nice of you to post them anyway...:sm:

Are ancient sciences out of place in physics forums?

What book / form of Zen? TaiKyokuKen sounds interesting too! Can you tell any more about it?

Hey Pattielli, and anyone else, am I retarded to share what seems to me to be useful scientific information like:

Yoga is supposed to mean 'yoke' and like horses would be yoked we yoke ourselves back into ourselves. As in a stretch or yawn or gathering oneself back up.

Patti, am I dumb to try and share proved healthy information because it is so old and ancient it doesn't belong in Physics forums? I am really perturbed because the position of coming from these "old fashioned" sciences has me wanting to say to really smart people that they are going down silly (to be nice) paths with their technology, you know?

I feel strongly that "the world is fine," people should much more worry about their selves. The external is connected to the internal, people's "bad days" if they are working on physics equations for machines that change the world, well, their "bad day" could easily become a larger "bad day," and keeping scientists happy and wholesome seems the most important issue, to be discussed, in general public like on these forums. But I feel silly and the only one.

I would love to hear what you think of a yoga type study I'm doing called "Karma Wash" that looks at the seven chakras of old Indian origin but from a being balanced point of view instead of "raising kundalini" like many chakra studies does. I am really a buddhist type meditator, but enjoy studying things like: Healing, Psychic Healing, Sanscrit, Orishas (Nigerian Yoruba Dieties), Magic, Symbols, Voodoo, Native American Spirituality, Visualization, Affirmation, Egyptian Mythology and so on. I consider it extremely valuable to rethink or rebirth ancient wisdom with new tools, like I've made chakra animations and such. I don't seem to get much positive feedback but here is the irony and I'm complaining to an appreciator! he he.. well, the universe is one big irony eh? he he.. Another way I'm combining sciences is my "Body Music" page, you are more than welcome to view these CareWares of mine! XOXOXO

May we all be balanced and it be reflected in our sciences. Amen!
