What are the products when Pepto-Bismol and HCl react together.
I know a salt and water.
But what exactly?

I believe pepto bismol is C7H5BiO4

So C7H5BiO4 + HCl --> ?

well, yes, Bismuth subsalicylate is C7H5BiO4, but the problem is, there are ALOT of other ingredients in Pepto bismol (specifically: benzoic acid, flavor, magnesium aluminum silicate, methylcellulose, red 22, red 28, saccharin sodium, salicylic acid, sodium salicylate, sorbic acid, water.) so you are going to have a lot of impurities in your products. (plus, a few of the 'inactive ingredients' will likely react with HCl also)
