In summary, the response time on this forum can vary depending on the quality of the thread title and the question being asked. It is recommended to provide as much information and effort in the thread start as possible to receive a quicker response. Additionally, the time taken to ban individuals who misbehave can also serve as an alternative metric for response time.

That depends to a large extent on the quality of the thread title (I edited your title, BTW) and how well the question in the thread start is phrased. It also helps in technical threads to show as much of your work as you can, as well as links to the reading you've been doing to try to answer your own question.

Enjoy PF.

Welcome to PF.

In addition to what has been said above, I believe response time is not a good factor to judge a site. I can decrease the response time by creating a bot that will reply to all threads with a standard response like "Thanks for opening a thread in PF." Instead, it is always better if people take the time to write a good response.

Enjoy your time here!

The better your thread title, the better the response time.

@ForumMember -- It's ironic that you just failed the New Member Response Time Initiation Test. You've been back today to PF and seen this thread, but didn't bother to respond. Hmm...

Please check your PMs...
