Which is the spiritual journey you have made - in terms of atheism, agnosticism and theism? Do you believe that most people evolve toward or away from God, and why?

Funny (sorta) that observation, as it was exactly opposite for me, the "Parable of the Sower" was completely confusing, and out of my range of understanding, when I had read it, as a teenager, but it became really clear later on in my life, as experience taught me to understand such 'devises' (Parables) and has left me in a much greater position of understanding, then prior...it is probably one of the most appropo parables for what you are asking, in this thread...how quickly/slowly/or-simply "How" people are affected by religious words/wording...Originally posted by olde drunk
(SNIP) as with most people, we are raised in whatever is the religion of our parents. as we grow older we see the flaws. (SNoP)
Couldn't disagree with that more, if I tried to, only One path to God, "God's way, or the high(wrong)way"Originally posted by Royce
(SNIP) I think the while all is one, we each have our own God within; and, there are as many paths to God as there are people, each one unique, as are we, in its own way. (SNoP)

God is a concept that is widely debated and interpreted differently by various religions and belief systems. Some view God as a supreme being or deity, while others see God as a universal force or energy. Ultimately, the idea of God is a personal and subjective belief.
The existence of God is a matter of faith and belief. There is no definitive proof or evidence that God exists, as it is a concept that is beyond the realm of scientific inquiry. Some people believe in the existence of God based on religious texts and personal experiences, while others do not believe in God at all.
The purpose of God is a complex and heavily debated topic. Some believe that God created the universe and all living beings with a specific purpose or plan in mind. Others believe that the purpose of God is to provide guidance, comfort, and support to individuals in their daily lives. Ultimately, the purpose of God is a personal and subjective belief.
Communication with God is often seen as a form of prayer or meditation. Many people believe that by expressing their thoughts, feelings, and desires to God, they can establish a connection and receive guidance or support. However, the methods of communication with God may vary depending on one's beliefs and practices.
This is a difficult question to answer and one that has been debated by theologians and philosophers for centuries. Some believe that suffering is a part of God's plan and serves a greater purpose, while others view it as a result of human actions and free will. Ultimately, the answer to this question may vary depending on one's beliefs and perspective.
