A few years ago, my wife and I attended a Native American Powwow,
a gathering of our Native American brothers and sisters, with
traditional ceremonies, dancing, and folklore. .It was a fascinating
and enriching experience.

My wife bought a bumper sticker, which has since earned
many pleasant comments from total strangers.

. . . . [tex]\begin{array}{c}\text{We are not human beings} \\ \text{having a spiritual experience.} \\ \text{We are spiritual beings} \\ \text{having a human experience.}\end{array}[/tex]

I saw a bumper sticker which says it all:

. . . . . . [tex]\begin{array}{c}AMERIC\!A \\ \text{Love it} \\ \text{or give it back.} \end{array}[/tex]

A continuation . . .

Once we stopped at a roadside farm stand.
The owner read my wife's bumper sticker and said, "That's lovely."
Then he pointed to my bumper sticker on the left side
and said, smiling, "That's not very spiritual, is it?"
He pointed at my bright red "Semper Fi" sticker.
I said, "Look at my front bumper."

He did and laughed out loud.
"Okay, you win!" he said.

He had read:
. . . . . . . . . . [tex]\begin{array}{c}\text{It is God's responsibility} \\ \text{to forgive Osama Bin Laden.} \\ \text{It is our responsibility} \\ \text{to arrange the meeting.} \\ _{\text{United States Marine Corps}} \end{array}[/tex]
