Hello MHB community,
In an effort to provide our users with a more responsive and fluid layout, we have developed a BBCode for embedding youtube videos which will provide dynamic video width while maintaining the 16:9 aspect ratio used by most videos. There is a 10% margin width to the left and right of the video relative to the width of the page.
To use this new BBCode, use youtube tags and put the video identifier within the tags. For example the code:
[youtube]xjglB04TOno[/youtube]
produces the output:
[youtube]xjglB04TOno[/youtube]
Compare this to the video embedding BBCode intrinsic to vBulletin:
Resize your browser window to various sizes to see the different behaviors of the two BBCodes.
Also, in using this BBCode, more than one video may be embedded per post, but we ask that reasonable discretion be used.
We are very interested to hear feedback from you regarding whether this works well in your different OS and browser combinations, particularly mobile users. Also, if there are any other popular video players that you would like to see added, please let us know in this thread.
