Please vote for your favorite interpretation of QM. If you prefer another or your own, please describe it.
The Many Minds interpretation suggests that reality is made up of a multitude of separate and constantly branching minds, each experiencing a different outcome of a quantum event. This means that quantum mechanics is not a theory of one objective reality, but rather a theory of the subjective experiences of each individual mind.
The Many Minds interpretation differs from other interpretations in that it does not rely on the collapse of the wavefunction to explain the measurement process. Instead, each mind experiences a different outcome, and the wavefunction remains in a superposition of all possible outcomes.
One of the main criticisms of the Many Minds interpretation is that it introduces a large number of unobservable minds, leading to a violation of Occam's razor. Additionally, it is difficult to test or prove the existence of these separate minds, making it a less falsifiable theory compared to other interpretations.
In the Many Minds interpretation, entanglement is explained as each individual mind experiencing a different outcome, but all minds are still connected through a shared underlying reality. This allows for the entangled particles to have correlated outcomes, without the need for instantaneous communication between them.
The Many Minds interpretation is not compatible with classical mechanics, as it suggests that reality is fundamentally probabilistic and not deterministic. However, some versions of the interpretation propose that classical mechanics is an emergent theory from the underlying quantum reality experienced by each mind.
