Logging in twice

This isn't a big deal but when I log in I get the message: Invalid Redirect URL (Tags - Math Help Boards | Free Math Help) and I have to log in a second time (successfully.) It started doing this maybe a month or so ago. (It's hard to say...I sometimes stay logged in for days at a time so I lose track.)

-Dan

Edit: The cut-paste thing didn't work right for the URL. I can log out and in again if you need the correct text.

My recent (about a month) path is:

1) Log on and get "Bad URL"
2) Click "New Posts"
{stuff}
3) Log Off
4) Why is there another session? Log off again.

I just logged in and out several times in multiple browsers and was not able to duplicate the issue...it worked flawlessly for me.

I haven't seen the issue myself, but we did switch to https on February 15th.
Maybe all it needs is to clear the browser cache?

I had the same trouble about a month ago, and it was resolved when I changed the bookmarked address from http to the new https.

Do you mostly check MHB on public computers? I haven't needed to sign in for as long as... the last time I cleared my saved passwords in browser.. Which is a pretty long time ago :p.

This has been happening to me a bit as well. Unfortunately, Opalg 's fix didn't work for me on Windows 7/Vivaldi. I logged back out, switched the bookmark to https, and logged back in. It gives me the invalid whatever message. Interestingly, I'm actually logged in, though it doesn't immediately look like it. If I click New Posts or something, my username shows up in the upper right, just like normal. I get precisely the same behavior on Linux Mint Xfce 18.3/Vivaldi, and on Xubuntu 17.10/Vivaldi. I do not get this behavior with Windows 7/Internet Explorer 11.

[EDIT]: Another interesting tidbit: the error message, even when logging into the secure site, is this:

Code:
Invalid Redirect URL (http://mathhelpboards.com/)
Notice there's no 's' before the colon. Is that significant?

Adrian, I've just added:

Code:
http://mathhelpboards.com
to the "Redirect Domain Whitelist" as advised by vBcom...does that help?

That seems to have fixed the problem for me. How about the OP?

Well, there you go, then. All seems well. Did I miss a memo?

I don't know if the fix worked or not. I just wiped my password manager and I just logged in without a hitch.

Thanks!

PS Oh! And I'm using Win 10 (version something or other).
