In summary, a career in IP law requires a strong interest in both law and technology, as well as a law degree and passing the bar exam. Taking courses in intellectual property law and becoming a registered patent attorney can also be beneficial. Job opportunities in IP law include positions at law firms, corporations, and government agencies, and necessary skills for success include attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong communication and networking abilities.

What is the outlook as a science advisor or patent agent for a physics masters graduate with several years professional experience?
Anyone have recommendations about getting a foot in the door in patent law with such a degree? Cold-calling or looking for specific job announcements?
Any advice would be appreciated...

Thank you!
