Try Out Your ESP - Fun Tests & Serious Research

In summary, two tests for testing ESP were provided: a simple test and a more sophisticated one. The probability statement used in the first test may be questionable, as one user achieved a higher success rate than expected. However, it is noted that the expected result for any card is 20%. In the second test, one user was judged to have no evidence for ESP, but their calculator RNG was deemed clairvoyant.

Test your "ESP"

Just for fun folks.

A simple test:

More sophisticated:

Please keep all ESP arguments in the M&PS forum:

A simple test:
http://www.eciis.org/esptest/tester2.jsp

I am getting the feeling there is something wrong about the probability statement used in this one. In 7 out of 10 trials I did, pressing only the square card 10 times, I acheived over 20% success rate. I smell a rat... or maybe I'm just very lucky

Probably a fairer test is to compare results with that obtained by another RNG...

In the second test, It judged me as having no evidence for esp, but told me my calculator RNG was clairvoyant. Which is pretty disturbing.

20% is the expected result - 1:5 for any card. Why do you think that something is wrong?

Because in my placebo run I got consistently better than expected. Though this can be just a statistical fluke.

Lies, damned lies, and...

More research is needed to fully understand how ESP works.

3. Can anyone have ESP?

There is no scientific evidence that supports the idea that everyone has ESP abilities. However, some individuals may have a higher level of sensitivity to psychic phenomena, and some studies have shown that certain techniques and training may improve ESP performance.

4. Are the tests on this website accurate?

The tests on this website are designed and conducted by scientists using rigorous methods and protocols. However, as with any scientific study, there may be limitations and factors that can affect the results. It is important to approach the tests with an open mind and understand that they are not 100% accurate.

5. What is the purpose of this website?
