In biology i have studied that in plants some secondary product examples are cuticle , lignin etc ... can you tell me why it is called secondary products ... thank you.
A secondary product is a product that is derived from or produced as a by-product of creating a primary product. It is not the main focus of production, but it can still have value and be used for other purposes.
A primary product is the main output of a production process, while a secondary product is a by-product. Primary products are usually the focus of production and have a higher value, while secondary products may have a lower value or be used for different purposes.
Examples of secondary products include whey protein produced during cheese making, sawdust produced during lumber production, and animal by-products such as bone meal and gelatin produced during meat processing.
Using secondary products can help reduce waste and maximize resources. It can also provide additional sources of income for producers and reduce the environmental impact of production processes.
Secondary products are used in a variety of industries, such as agriculture, food production, manufacturing, and energy production. They can be used as ingredients in other products, converted into new products, or used for energy production through processes like anaerobic digestion.
