In summary, despite concerns about mad cow disease, customers at the Hilltop Inn in Evansville, Ind. are still eating deep-fried cow brain sandwiches. The sandwiches have been served since January 13, 2004 and a picture of one is included. Some people find the sandwich to be unappetizing and question why anyone would eat something that could potentially cause a chronic progressive disease. Others compare it to other risky food choices such as salmonella-infested chicken and a conservative minister's infamous TV stunt during the BSE-CJD crisis.

Yes, we eat salmonelle infestered chicken, but the bacterium dies when heated and if we get sick, you're most likely going to be better in a weeks time!

It for some reason reminds me of the conservative minister here in the UK who, at the start of BSE-CJD crisis fed his daughter a hamburger on live TV to show how "safe" it was.
