Cross Section Equation of Antonov 140, B-707, Cessna-210 & Citation

In summary, the conversation discusses the equation of cross section between fuselage and wing for various airplanes, specifically the Antonov 140, B-707, Cessna-210, and Cessna Citation. The person asking for help mentions that 3-views of these aircraft are available on the internet, but finding dimensions for curve fitting can be difficult, especially for Russian airplanes.

hi guys,
I was wondering what is the equation of cross section between fuselage and wing of the below airplanes:antonov 140 , B-707 , cessna-210 , cessna citation.
Can anyone help?a book or a refrence or whatever you have

Equation of what? The OML? A 3-view? 3views of these aircraft are readily available on the internet. You can curve fit those.

equation of the look from front cross section.view of these a/c are available but rarely I can find the dimensions to fit a curve on them, specially russians don't give away their information and nothing is available for russian airplanes.

Related to Cross Section Equation of Antonov 140, B-707, Cessna-210 & Citation

1. What is a cross section equation?

A cross section equation is a mathematical formula that represents the area of a shape when it is cut by a plane. In aviation, it is used to calculate the aerodynamic characteristics of an aircraft's fuselage.

2. How is the cross section equation of an aircraft determined?

The cross section equation of an aircraft is determined by measuring the dimensions of the fuselage and using geometric principles to calculate the area. It may also take into account the shape of the fuselage, such as whether it is circular or oval.

3. What is the importance of the cross section equation in aviation?

The cross section equation is important in aviation because it helps engineers and designers to understand the aerodynamic properties of an aircraft's fuselage. This information is crucial in creating efficient and safe aircraft designs.

4. How does the cross section equation differ for different aircraft models, such as the Antonov 140, B-707, Cessna-210, and Citation?

The cross section equation can differ for different aircraft models because each model has a unique fuselage shape and dimensions. For example, the Antonov 140 has a circular fuselage, while the B-707 has a more oval shape. The cross section equation takes into account these differences to accurately represent the area of each aircraft's fuselage.

5. Can the cross section equation be used to compare different aircraft models?

Yes, the cross section equation can be used to compare different aircraft models. It provides a standardized way to measure and compare the aerodynamic characteristics of different fuselage shapes and sizes. This allows engineers and designers to make informed decisions when designing and improving aircraft designs.
