Can I change the x-axis spacing in Excel if it's shaded in gray?

In summary, to plot a graph in Excel, select the data and choose the type of graph from the "Insert" tab. You can customize the appearance of your graph using the options under the "Chart Tools" tab. To add a trendline, click on the graph, go to the "Layout" tab, and choose the type of trendline. Multiple data series can be inserted on one graph and can be customized individually. To update the graph automatically when changing data, select the graph, go to the "Design" tab, and choose the data range under "Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels." Your graph will then update whenever the data in the selected cells is changed.

What type of graph is it? Any chance you could zip it and attach it here?

I have fixed the problem. It turned out that my entry for the x-axis when plotting the graph was invalid.
