In summary, the conversation discusses a pair of scam emails that were received from an email address that appeared to be from a family member. The first email asked a technical question and mentioned an article about Ubuntu, while the second email contained a link to sign up for a free account with "Evernote". Has anyone else received emails that lure you into signing up with "Evernote"?

I received a very clever pair of scam emails. They were from an email address that could have plausibly belonged to one of my brothers, but isn't actually his. The first email asked a technical question and mentioned an article about Ubuntu. It promised to send a link to the article in another email using "Evernote". The next email came with the link. The link asked me to sign-up for a free account. (I don't know if the site linked was the real Evernote, if there is such a legitimate site by that name).
