Hello all,
something like an extension of my previous work on boiler and an single effect steam evaporator has been added and the steam generated has to be superheated.
Hello all,
I am planning to use a tubular heating elements for heat transfer, unlike the readily available electric superheaters now. I am not concerned about the physical design parameters. The flow is continuous.
with regards
Hello everyone,
I am dynamically modelling a electric superheater. During the calculation I need to calculate the overall heat transfer coefficient. Can someone tell me which calculation do I need to use to calculate the overall heat transfer coefficient, radiant or convective?
Please clear my...
yes I am looking for transient steady state operation. I am modelling the basic boiler in simulink, where the pressure is constant, and the volume is also constant. What I need is when i use an electric power as input source, the water has to boil and the outlet steam is collected. I just...
To be clear, I don't have any diagram of the setup. I need to model a boiler where the water is boiled to get steam using an electric source as heat input and the output steam is to be collected and will be sent through a superheater.
thank you so much now it works but it requires a high Q. Sounds very silly to you but can u tell me this, i am using a electrical power source can you tell me how cani convert input power in watts to Q?
hello,
I have dynamically modeled a drum boiler, but when i am solving the equation i am getting an negative rate of change of enthalpythe reason i find is the enthalpy of the steam is very higher than the enthalpy of water. can someone please verify the model and help me with this...
hello @BvU ,
its nothing to do with boiler. Its completely an other task. Its a continuous flow process, but i am jus modelling the individual components and later i need to include all the components in the main model. Here is the equation which i have modeled for superheater...
hello once again,
I have modeled electric superheater, but not a heat exchangerand i am talking about the tank wall temperature.so in the equation i need to find the temperature difference of the wall. i know the initial temperature of the tank wall but not the final temperature of the wall. so...
how can i find the rate of change of temperature of the tank for a superheater? Or is there any relationship between the change in temperature of the tank when it is filled with hot gas?
I am sorry for the png. I will post a latex version from now on.
And yes, exactly I have modeled an immersion water heater. I got an idea in mean time that why can't i use an immersion water heater as evaporator? In precise both does the same work but when we use it as an evaporator there will...
